On Wednesday, September 24th 2025, our sister organization, the Caldwell Foundation for Public Safety, hosted From Tragedy to Action in Chicago, bringing together community leaders and experts to confront the urgent challenges of violence and public safety facing our nation.
The event featured a powerful panel discussion with:
- Gianno Caldwell, Fox News political analyst and Founder of the Caldwell Foundation for Public Safety
- Garry McCarthy, Former Chicago Police Superintendent, host of Behind the Badge
- Matt Paprocki, President and CEO of the Illinois Policy Institute
- Tio Hardiman, Founder of Violence Interrupters
Together, the panelists delivered candid insights on the devastating toll of violent crime- from lives lost and families broken to neighborhoods living in fear- and outlined bold, practical steps to reverse these catastrophic trends. Their discussion emphasized the urgent need for prevention, accountability, and collaboration between residents, city leaders, and law enforcement.
